Preventing collisions between transport systems in the warehouse, the ELOshield forklift safety and pedestrian detection system now offers a new ELOshield module for automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
With ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless sensors that offer a 360-deg. range of up to 82 ft, the ELOshield AGV/AMR module prevents collisions between these small transport vehicles as well as forklifts that are fitted with the ELOshield forklift safety and pedestrian detection system.
The radio-based module acts as a stand-alone antenna that can be easily installed on these vehicles due to its small size (3 x 2 x 0.8 in).
The module can be used in fleets with all different types and brands of AGVs and AMRs and can be pre-installed by vendors or suppliers or retrofitted onto existing fleets, no matter how long they’ve been deployed.
