Prima Power Acquires Sistec AM for Sheet Metal Technology
Prima Power, a brand of Prima Industrie SpA, has acquired Sistec AM, an industrial automation manufacturer, to broaden its automation capabilities and strengthen its market position in sheet metal working integrated lines and systems.
It enhances the sheet metal working technologies portfolio with advanced automation technologies and customized solutions to further advance its flexible manufacturing systems.
Based in Pordenone, Italy, Sistec AM specializes in designing, developing, and manufacturing robotic and customized automation systems for production processes. With an extensive array of robotic lines, cells, and high-tech assembly and control systems, Sistec AM is a leader in integrating complex solutions into existing industrial frameworks across various industries.
Motion Set to Acquire Thompson Industrial Supply Distributor
Motion Industries, Inc., has signed an agreement to acquire Thompson Industrial Supply, Inc. The transaction is expected to close at the end of February 2025, subject to customary closing conditions. A family-owned and operated business, Thompson Industrial Supply began in California in 1969, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga with a second location in South El Monte.
As a distributor, Thompson focuses on both large and small companies, providing bearings, gear reducers, motors, hydraulics, industrial automation components, and pneumatics, along with in-house fabrications and belt shop services.
The Rancho Cucamonga location offers fabrication capabilities with two mills, three lathes, a key seater machine, a CNC lathe, a CNC milling machine center, robotic welders, a gearbox modification shop, and a custom hydraulic hose shop.
Majority owner Gary Thompson will transition the business while other family members will continue in their roles post-close. The company employs 45 between the two locations.
TASKING Acquires LDRA for Its Code Analysis and Software Testing Tools
Tasking, a provider of embedded software development tools for safety-critical applications, has acquired LDRA to offer customers a comprehensive portfolio that further supports software development for safety-critical applications in aerospace and automotive, among others. The integration enhances Tasking's safety and security software ecosystem and broadens its capabilities for embedded software development tools and services.
LDRA, a privately owned company with a team of 100+ employees across the United Kingdom (headquarters), United States, India, and Germany, provides tools to achieve early error identification and elimination through bidirectional requirements traceability, static and dynamic code analysis, and unit and system-level verification on a variety of hardware and software platforms.
The company's extensive reporting capabilities help application development teams mitigate risk and demonstrate compliance with functional safety and security standards. LDRA also offers certification services that complement its tool suite.
Wize Solutions Acquires York Warehouse Equipment Erectors
Wize Solutions has announced that it has acquired York Warehouse Equipment Erectors, a Phoenix-based warehousing company. All staff and leadership will stay on and join Wize Solutions. This acquisition further allows Wize to meet its goal of adding local crews in new geographic areas.
Wize is a national provider of material handling integration solutions that has completed successful projects across all 50 states as well as Australia, Canada, Japan, Mexico, and others.
The company continues to expand its focus on rack installations, automation installations, pick modules, mezzanines, shelving systems, and dock & door installation services.
