Creform Corporation has designed and built an angled shelf cart for bins designed to hold small production parts and hardware items. The cart pictured has a 42 W x 26 in. D footprint and is rated for up to 600 lb. load capacity. It was built using popular marine blue 28-mm plastic-coated steel Creform pipe and black metal joints. It features eight levels with each level defined by Creform’s unique slide pipe with a side guide. This ensures totes are held securely in each lane. This steel slide pipe is coated with low friction HDPE plastic so the totes will easily flow down each lane.

Further, the 15-deg. angle of the flow lanes helps the bins flow and keeps the parts in the bins toward the front for picking ease. This enhances the associate’s ability for visual management of inventory. The cart can also easily be restocked from the rear and features a top cover to keep dust and dirt off the parts and bins held below. Each of the cart’s levels can be repositioned or reconfigured with only simple tools.

The cart features four, 4-in. diameter swivel casters with urethane wheels for easy positioning, stability, and safe movement. The four casters feature brakes that can be engaged for secure positioning. Wheels lend themselves to easily move the structure from the warehouse to the production floor or even for housekeeping or just to relocate. Push/pull handles on both ends of the cart are positioned at a comfortable ergonomic height.

Options include feet rather than wheels, solid surface shelves, and gravity conveyors in place of the slide pipe.
