Update 5/2022
KINETIC has added a Jump Detection feature for the Reflex wearable platform.
Jump analytics, accessible through the Reflex dashboard, will help industrial employers understand how frequently jumps are occurring and then take action to reduce risk among their workforces. The feature is especially useful to organizations with drivers or other workers who are exposed to jumping, including local parcel/package delivery drivers, local bulk delivery drivers, warehouse loaders/unloaders, and forklift drivers.
Jump Detection allows safety managers to:
- Discover high-risk jobs and employees, share data with them, and provide specific coaching and support.
- Use timestamped jumps analytics to gain visibility into on-site and off-site aspects of operations. For example, these timestamped events can be used for identifying the routes and stops where drivers are more prone to jumps or identifying job set up in the warehouse that leads to high-risk jumps.
- Track trends and improvement over time.
Update 7/2021
KINETIC has updated the dashboard interface to its Reflex wearable device and software analytics platform to provide a cleaner look and feel, new metrics, and new reports for easier deployment, more actionable insights, and streamlined data interpretation. The update includes improved weekly email reports that allow industrial operators to fully leverage their data and easily compare key metrics.
New features deliver the following benefits:
- Ease of Deployment: With all their devices visible on a single page, management can easily monitor participation and determine which devices are available to assign to employees. A Weekly Active Time metric highlights which employees are wearing the devices, including the frequency and duration of use.
- Actionable Insights: Hourly High-Risk Posture comparison metrics allow operators to compare risk levels across employees and jobs, including varying-length shifts.
- Enhanced Coaching: Individual employee reports enable the sharing of data with employees to support company coaching efforts and celebrate employees’ safety wins.
- Streamlined Data Interpretation: Weekly email reports distill the data and highlight key metrics at both the individual-facility and facility-wide levels.
The KINETIC reflex wearable now features automated proximity alerts and contact tracing capabilities to increase workplace safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. The upgraded Reflex helps facilitate social distancing for the workforce and enables precise and accurate contact tracing.
The KINETIC Reflex is a discrete smart wearable that is worn on belts or waistbands of industrial workers. It automatically detects unsafe work postures and provides users with real-time feedback to reduce injuries and create better work habits. The Reflex was recently updated with two features designed to keep workers safe from COVID-19.
Automated Proximity Alerts: notify workers with a light vibration whenever they come in close contact with each other. This helps create awareness of proper social distancing practices and allows workers to limit their amount of close interactions, reducing the chance of exposure.
Contact Tracing: a new tool in the Reflex software analytics platform enables managers to easily identify contacts between workers. If a worker tests positive for the virus, management can protect their workforce by generating a report of everyone who could have potentially been exposed, as well as the duration of the contact.
