Creform Corporation, a manufacturer of unique products for material handling structures has designed and produced a kitting cart that is used in the assembly department of an industrial equipment manufacturer. The cart provides an efficient way to organize, kit, and transport in-process materials for in-house assembly projects.

The Creform kitting cart features multiple methods of separating and storing components for transit between picking and the assembly department and is durable and suitable for manufacturing or warehouse use. The unit allows for material to be moved from one manufacturing station to another, as well as to move materials from the warehouse in a small batch or sequenced set of kitted parts.

The rear of the cart features hanging industrial fabric bags with compartments that help protect parts and make for easy load/unload. While the front of the cart features a full-width drawer with a solid surface that can be used to hold containers or loose parts.

Below that drawer are two compartments that create a simple divided shelf to hold components, subassemblies or boxes. The design of the cart allows the drawer to be pulled out to improve the access to parts. Two top-level horizontal surfaces of the cart provide another place to hold miscellaneous items or bins.

Constructed with Creform’s 28 mm pipe in highly visible yellow and black metal joints, The cart features four, 4 in. diameter swivel casters with urethane wheels for easy positioning, stability, and safe movement. Two of the casters feature brakes that can be engaged for secure positioning. The cart has overall dimensions of 34 W x 28 D x 48 in. T and is designed to hold up to 350 lb.

As with all Creform carts, higher capacity and custom cart sizes and configurations are possible with the Creform system of 28, 32, and 42 mm plastic coated steel pipes and metal joints. They can be configured for ESD (anti-static) applications.
