Using the mobile application to replace paper-and-clipboard processes, inspectors can see the location of a planned inspection on a map, view the last inspection report, access inventory information, complete National Bridge Inventory (NBI) component and element ratings, and augment ratings with annotated photos—all while working without network connectivity on an Apple iOS or Android tablet. Syncing data from the mobile device with the web application helps field workers increase productivity by eliminating data-entry errors, rework, and repeat trips to inspection sites.
