Measurement Specialties, Inc. Model 62 accelerometer is specifically designed for automotive safety crash testing. Compliant with SAE J211 standards for anthropomorphic dummy instrumentation and featuring seismic mass location at its center point, the Model 62 is available in 50, 200, 500 and 2000 g ranges. This device contains an advanced piezoresistive MEMS sensing element developed at Measurement Specialties’ research facilities in Silicon Valley. This sensor offers exceptional dynamic range and stability and a full bridge output configuration with a compensated temperature range from 0 to +50º C. A slight amount of internal gas damping provides outstanding shock survivability and a flat amplitude/phase response up to 7kHz. Its screw-mounted design and high impact Teflon-jacketed cable ensures reliable data collection in abusive environments. Featuring a low Zero Offset of ±25 mV and ± 1% non-linearity (FSO), this device can be powered from 2 to 10 Vdc with signal outputs to 300 mV. Each unit is supplied with a Calibration Certificate, Mounting Screws, Washers, Allen Wrench and 30 feet of integral cable. Total weight of this miniature device is < 1 gram. • DYNAMIC • Range(g) ±50 ±100 ±200 ±500 ±2000 ±6000 • Sensitivity (mV/g) 0.2 0.9 0.5 0.4 0.15 0.05 • Frequency Response (Hz) 0-400 0-500 0-600 0-800 0-2000 0-2000 • Natural Frequency (Hz) 4000 6000 8000 15000 26000 26000 • ELECTRICAL • Zero Acceleration Output (mV) <±25 • Output Resistance (?) 1700-4800 • Excitation (Vdc) 2 to 10 • ENVIRONMENTAL • Shock Limit (g) 5000 • Weight (grams) 2x 0=80 x 3/16 socket head cap screws
