Pinpoint Laser Systems® is happy to announce a new laser-based Microgage 2D system for measuring the flatness of machinery and production equipment. Machine tools, roll and web lines, press and printing equipment, and other production systems run more smoothly when they are well aligned. This new Pinpoint Microgage 2D measures flatness of rolls, moving machinery stages, gantry systems, actuators, and moving equipment to a precision of 0.0001 inch and can operate over ranges of a few inches to 120 feet. The new 2D can also be used for leveling and checking machinery that may be exhibiting high-wear characteristics. This unique Microgage 2D in compact, affordable, and easy for your production and maintenance staff to use right on your manufacturing lines. The 2-Axis Microgage combines a compact laser transmitter with a receiver and digital display. As the laser moves across the receiver in a vertical or horizontal direction the display provides a reading of the motion, accurate to 0.0001 inch. This new Microgage will operate over a distance of 120 feet with a bright red beam that is quickly adaptable to many industrial applications. Several simple accessories expand the alignment capabilities for machinery straightness, runout, parallelism, squareness, bore alignment, shaft alignment, and much more. The 2-Axis Laser Microgage operates on batteries for added convenience and all components are machined of solid aluminum with a hard anodized coating for wear resistance. A sealed, push button keypad and large LCD display make the Microgage 2D easy and convenient to use in demanding industrial environments. A serial and USB interface connect to a laptop or PC and link to popular spreadsheets for plotting and analyzing data for maintenance records, customer compliance, and other uses. This Microgage system includes a variety of mounts and receivers, and comes with a compact carrying case to store the components and is easily carried right out onto the manufacturing floor.
