Permabond® Engineering Adhesives adds two new toughened cyanoacrylate (instant) adhesives to its growing product line. These products were added for ultimate impact resistance and peel strength. Permabond 731 and 735 form excellent bonds, rapidly to a variety of surfaces including aluminum, steel, plastics and rubbers. Although designed for flexible substrates, the added flexibility and toughness allows even greater shear strengths to steel and other rigid materials. Permabond 735 is opaque black and Permabond 731 is crystal clear. Both products are ideal for bonding applications that involve impact, peel and flexing stresses. Cyanoacrylate adhesives are single component adhesives that cure by reacting to small traces of moisture on the surface of the substrates being bonded. Permabond has a complete line of cyanoacrylates which vary in; adhesion to different substrates, viscosity, color, temperature resistance, gap filling capability, cure speed and compatibility. Permabond’s high performance cyanoacrylates include rapid cure, high temperature resistance, surface insensitive (for acidic surfaces) non-blooming, low odor and impact resistance.• Peel Strength - 40?60 N/25mm (9?13 PIW) • Glass Transition - 58°C (140°F) • Coefficient of thermal expansion - 90 x 10?6 mm/mm/°C • Dielectric strength - 10 mV/mm • Coefficient of thermal conductivity - 0.1 W/(m.K) • Impact Strength (ASTM D?950) - 16 kJ/m² (8 ft?lb/in²) • Hardness - 85 Shore A • Chemical composition - Ethyl cyanoacrylate • Appearance - Black • Viscosity @ 25°C - 200?300 mPa.s (cP) • Density - 1.1 • Maximum gap fill - 0.15 mm 0.006 in • Full strength - 24 hours
