Tempilº, an Illinois Tool Works Company has introduced an infrared gun for non-contact measurement of welding preheat temperatures. The TEMPIL IRT-16 infrared thermometer measures temperature with a high degree of accuracy through reflected heat emissions. The welder user simply holds the gun, presses the trigger and aims the gun at the target metal. The temperature immediately appears in ºC or ºF on the backlit LCD. The Tempil infrared thermometer is available from its distribution netrwork, with a handy holster at no additional charge. NIST certification is also available. • Measurement Range: -76°F to 1157°F (-60°C to 625°C) • Operating Range: 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C) • Accuracy: ±2% of reading • Resolution 0.1°F (0.1°C) • Response Time: 1 sec. • Emissivity: Adjustable 0.1~1.0 • Distance to Spot Ratio: 16:1 • Power: Two AAA Alkaline batteries • Dimensions: 1.81 x 5.63 x 7.28 in.
