    Thern Set to Showcase Air Winch Line at OTC 2008

    New for this year’s show, Thern will be showcasing their personnel rated winches. Dual-rated and designed with  personnel lifting in mind, Thern’s Big Red Rider Personnel/Utility winch series adds a desired dimension to an air tugger line already growing in popularity within the oil and gas and offshore drilling markets. Thern is also pleased to announce ABS Type approval for its Personnel/Utility air winches, certifying that Thern’s line is manufactured to the highest industry standards.  TA2.5 and 5 Utility models have also received ABS Type approval for ship mounting applications. Third party ABS certification is available per request on all units. “Thern continues to experience a high level of interest in our air winch line”, says Bill Sievers, Marketing Development Manager with Thern. “Operators in the field are interested in the rugged construction and smooth operation of the motors and valves.”Increasingly popular in the construction, marine, oil and gas and mining markets, Thern air winches are designed to provide lifting and pulling power on job sites where electrical hookup is either hazardous or unavailable.
