ACS756 Hall Effect-Based Linear Current Sensor IC With 3 kVRMS Voltage Isolation

April 11, 2008

The ACS756 is a low-noise, open-loop current sensor with a 125 KHz bandwidth capability. The enhanced accuracy and speed make this device suitable for 50 to 100 A applications. This device takes advantage of the low-loss leadframe of Allegro's “CA” package and the fast response capability of an integrated core.

It also has an internal electrostatic shield. The electrostatic shield effectively shunts the effects of voltage transient spikes around the silicon and minimizes the voltage ripple on the output of the device. The result is a high-performance current sensing solution suitable for motor and inverter control, power supply control and protection, and other applications requiring high-side current sensing.
