Hedland Water and Other Fluid Meter

Feb. 18, 2022

Hedland's water and other fluid area flow meter performs as a reliable, trouble-free flow rate indicator, monitoring process applications under various pressures up to 6,000 psi, temperatures up to 240°F, and other rigorous conditions. The linear movement of the flow meter indicator ring gives a quick direct visual reading, against the vertically graduated flow scale, eliminating the need for further calculations or corrections—providing a predictive tool.

Using this flow meter, the user will see the changes in flow rate indicating a problem or possible wear-and-tear of the pump. Predicting the early onset of maintenance will eliminate high costs of unexpected pump downtime.

Hedland's variable area brass flow meters can be installed directly into horizontal or vertical lines or with an optional inverted flow scale, monitoring flow in a downward line. It maintains an indication accuracy within ±2% of full scale, with repeatability within 1% in any mounting direction. This compact flow meter does not require any flow straighteners or special lengths of straight inlet piping to stabilize turbulent flow patterns. There are also no invasive mechanical linkages, electrical probes or other costly maintenance elements in this design.
