Firmware update enables EBW L100 4G mobile routers to send and receive text messages.
New functions include sending event-driven messages (e.g. when the router is rebooted or network cables are plugged and unplugged). Incoming text messages can be used to trigger a reset or establish a VPN tunnel.
Since all EBW models, with the exception of the EBW-E100, combine a modem, router, and 2-port switch in a single device, they provide maximum flexibility for the implementation of custom smart IoT solutions.
