With half the minimum bend radius of traditional smooth bore braided hose assemblies, Parker Hannifin’s PAGE-flex SBF™ hose moves in and around equipment with ease. Manu-factured with an engineered fluoropolymer core, this advanced design of smoothbore SS Braided PFA hose utilizes a smoothbore PFA tube with a bonded wire braid – silicone – textile braided composite core, giving the product superior bend radius, kink and vacuum resistance. Additionally, this proprietary tube technology can be reinforced with any application specific braid such as Polypropylene, PVDF, or Para-Aramid. PAGE-flex SBF™ assemblies were specifically designed for use in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Food processing industries where hoses are exposed to extremes, such as extreme chemicals, temperatures or space confinement. Traditionally, a hose with a convoluted inner core has been used in order to achieve the tight bend radius but a tube with convolutions is more difficult to clean, increasing the chances for contamination. The PAGE-flex SBF™ assembly is smooth as traditional smoothbore tubing. For applications where static charge build-up is present, PAGE-flex SBF™ can be special ordered with a conductive liner. PAGE-flex SBF™ handles temperatures from -65°F up to 325°F and is available in size 3/8” up to 1-1/2”. In addition, this hose is USP Class VI certified and FDA Compliant.
