Designated the ERAE and ERAD Series, Rosenberg’s forward-curved radial centrifugal AC fans deliver up to 4,000 CFM of air movement in a space-saving single-inlet design. They are widely used for the reliable cooling of generators and switchboards in modern wind energy plants and windmills. Other applications include clean rooms, commercial kitchen applications and railway air conditioning. They are available in sizes from 5.2 inches to 15.7 inches (133 mm to 400 mm). The size designation corresponds to the outside diameter of the drum impeller. The impeller is made of galvanized sheet steel. It is mounted directly to the rotor of the external rotor motor, which is 100% speed controllable, so noise and vibration levels are reduced to the lowest. The impeller is balanced dynamically at two levels with the rotor according to quality level G2.5 to DIN1940. The casing is also made of galvanized steel. These rugged, high-efficiency centrifugal fans have been developed especially for modern ventilation applications. They comply with R20 standards. The outlet flange is in compliance with DIN323. The asynchronous motors are protected by thermal contacts. Insulation is Class F. Protection is to IP54. The fans are also available featuring Electronically Commutated (EC) motor technology. The largest EC model (22 inches/560mm) delivers up to 7,500 CFM of air movement. Rosenberg fans have been used in demanding applications around the globe since 1981 and are built to handle a wide range of requirements regarding resistance to mechanical shock, temperature range and power supply. In addition to standard products, Rosenberg’s engineering and manufacturing specialists offer application assistance and work directly with customers to provide customized solutions to their air movement problems. They are skilled at producing fans that match customers’ unique needs such as special finishes, voltages or frequencies.
