The latest addition to the ZWS line of compact AC-DC PCB-mountable power supplies, the single-output ZWS-BAF series are 100 and150 W supplies that accept a wide AC input range, have a low profile of 1 to 1.5 in. (25 to 38 mm) and compact footprints of 2 x 6 or 3 x 6 in. (51 x 152 or 76 x 152 mm), making them an ideal choice for applications in light industrial, LED signage, test & measurement, gaming, point-of-sale, and IT equipment.
These open-frame supplies feature a universal 85 to 264V AC, 47 to 63Hz input, with PFC, enabling them to be used anywhere in the world. Plus, they can operate from a 120 to 370V DC input. The ZWS-BAF is designed to withstand 3kV AC, input-to-output. The series is available with an output voltage of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, 24, or 48V DC, all of which have a +/-10% adjustment range.
With convection cooling (no fans required), these supplies provide up to 150 W of output power. The operating temperature range is from 14 to 158°F (-10 to 70°C) with derating above 50°C to 50% load. The output is floating so it can be used as either a positive or negative polarity. Optional remote on/off connections are provided to allow for remote control of the supply. The operating power-saving efficiency is up to 90%. Other standard features include overvoltage and overcurrent protections. The input and output connections mate with standard JST connectors.
The ZWS-BAF series feature global ITE and general purpose safety agency certifications per UL/CSA/EN60950-1, EN50178 (OV II), are CE Marked, meet the conducted and radiated EMI requirements of EN55011/EN55022-B, VCCI-B and FCC Class B, which is much tougher than Class A. These units are RoHS-compliant.
