A new torque wrench from Lowell Corporation can solve a big problem facing operators of pipeline installation and repair equipment as well as the equipment manufacturers: the improper tightening of nuts and bolts during installation. Lowell Corporation's SureTork wrench can greatly facilitate proper clamp installation by ensuring that nuts are always properly torqued. And unlike other torque wrenches, the SureTork's bolt-thru feature permits easy access to nuts on any threaded length.     When nuts are improperly tightened, repair clamps, service saddles, tapping sleeves, and mechanical joint couplings may fail prematurely resulting in service disruptions and expensive replacement. Failure due to improper installation may also void the manufacturer's warranty adding additional expense.     The Lowell SureTork wrench is a click-type torque handle with a quick release socket head that accepts Lowell's standard or extended reach sockets. The wrench is 20" long, weighs 5 lbs with the head and one socket, and is 100% made in USA.     Torque settings range from 30 to 150 lb-ft. and torque value is field-adjustable in 1 lb-ft. increments. Each handle is serialized and supplied with a certificate of calibration.     Wrenches are sold individually with one standard or extended reach socket. Sets are available with five extended reach hex sockets or six standard sockets (Hex or Square). Extended Hex socket sizes range from 7/8” to 1-1/4”.  Standard Hex socket sizes range from 5/8" to 1-1/4" and standard square.
