The INDUCT workcell is a high-speed, AI-powered robotic system for parcel, post, and e-commerce fulfillment. The platform automates the induction process by identifying items and determining how to handle them to alleviate capacity shortages and increase efficiency.
It combines AI-powered machine vision, grasping, and manipulation algorithms to safely pick, maneuver, and place items onto a moving belt, bomb bay or tilt sorter.
The in-feed system separates items from a chute onto a series of belts, dividing and unstacking into two organized streams. Two synchronized robotic arms pick up each item with precise speed and grip using Adaptive Motion Control. Regardless of orientation, the built-in scanners capture barcodes as items move down the sorter.
Other features include a throughput of 1,600 to 2,000 picks per hour, grasping and maneuvering items up to 8 lb. (4 kg) in many shapes, surface textures, and materials, and a footprint of 8.9 x 4.6 ft (2.7 x 1.4 m).
The workcells have the ability to integrate with different warehouse management systems, communication protocols, and customizations.
- Grasp and maneuver items up to 8 lb. (4 kg) with a variety of shapes, surface textures, and materials, both rigid packaging and loose plastic
- Induct with throughput of 1,600 to 2,000 picks per hour
- Fit within the confines of most induction workstations with a footprint of 8.9 x 4.6 ft (2.7 x 1.4 m)
