Wright Tool's WrightSquare provides 10x more contact area on the square end of the socket, allowing corners to have the smallest area of contact.

2023 NED Innovation Award Winner

The patented WrightSquare (US 10442059 B2) design provides 10x more contact area on the square end of the socket than conventional designs, allowing the corners to have the smallest cross-sectional area of contact.

Conventional designs can load too close to corners, provide less contact area, more stress, and are more likely to fracture at a corner. By relocating load and stress away from the corners, it enhances performance and increases socket life.

The optimized flat contact areas relocate force from the drive square corners, as well as optimize the longevity of the male drive square, whether on a ratchet, attachment or impact gun. Premium Wright alloy steel increases strength, and precision broaching gives users the most consistent quality and tolerance levels achievable.

The tool uses WrightDrive 2.0 technology on the square end of the socket where it attaches to the ratchet, attachment or impact gun. The WrightSquare gives users a noticeable performance enhancement by providing more contact, torque, and longevity on the square end of the socket.
