Process Calibrator - Practical Instrument Electronics (PIE)
The new PIE 820-ELITE is smaller and easier to use than other multifunction calibrators. Seven single function calibrators with advanced features are squeezed into a single surprisingly small package that fits into a pocket. 21st century control systems use instruments with tighter specifications than ever before. Instrument technicians require calibrators with accuracies previously found only in calibration laboratories. The 820-ELITE version of the popular PIE 820 has greater resolution, more ranges and standards lab accuracy making it one of the highest performing calibrators on the market today. This technician friendly calibrator is all about ease of use. An intuitive EZ-DIAL Double Click Menu makes it simpler to setup than larger calibrators with their complicated button filled panels and confusing menus. Use the 820-ELITE right out of the box instead of wasting time learning to use more complex calibrators.
The PIE 820-ELITE combines all milliamp loop functions and sources and reads DC Volts and millivolts, 14 thermocouple types, 9 RTD curves, ohms and process frequency signals. This is the first multifunction calibrator to source directly in pH, as well as in millivolts, to verify operation of pH controllers and transmitters. For troubleshooting connections it has a continuity tester with tone. By adding optional pressure modules you can read pressure in 15 engineering units. All ranges have auto storing MIN/MAX readings and three output set points for fast calibration of zero, midpoint and span. Find hidden problems by powering up the loop and detecting current leaks in the loop with PIE’s patented loop leakage detection circuitry. Advanced features include configurable automatic stepping and ramping. An LED flashes green for frequency sync and lights up red for signal overload and invalid signal conditions.
The toolbox tough design includes a backlit display for use in dark environments, protective rubber boot with built in stand, hands free carrying case and test leads. NIST Calibration Certificate and three year warranty are included at no extra cost. Optional three year ‘no questions asked’ repair/replacement warranty is available for low total cost of ownership. The repair/replacement warranty eliminates unbudgeted expenses when the calibrator is used where equipment is regularly damaged.
