Advantech-DLoG is pleased to announce TREK-570 – the next-generation model of the widely adopted TREK-550 in-vehicle computing box. Based on years of accumulated experience in the professional in-vehicle computing market, TREK-570 is built to meet all demands for intelligent fleet management.
Equipped with a powerful Intel Atom E3826 System-on-Chip (SoC) processor and configurable CAN bus protocols, Advantech-DLoG’s TREK-570 computing box supports efficient delivery operations and intra-vehicle communication. The surrounding sensors and value-added MRM SDK enable user-friendly operation while substantially increasing driver safety and company earnings. TREK-570 also supports real-time data transmissions across borders with its built-in RF features and dual SIM card design. Built to cope with the challenges of extreme in-vehicle environments, TREK-570 is the ideal solution for local, regional, and long-haul fleet management.
The embedded CAN controller supports the dual CAN bus interface and several configurable protocols including J1587, Raw CAN, J1939, and OBD-II, enabling communication with various vehicle components over a CAN bus via a twisted pair medium.
Rich built-in RF features such as Bluetooth, WLAN, WWAN (HSPA+/LTE), and GNSS (for an optional 3-in-1 GPS/Glonass/BeiDou module) technology support vehicle tracking, real-time data transmissions, OTA updates, and seamless communication. With such rapid and efficient exchanges of information, monitored data can be reported to the drivers and dispatch center in real time. Like its predecessor TREK-550, TREK-570 can be easily paired with a TREK-303/306 in-vehicle smart display via a single-cable connection. Additionally, the five physical function keys on the front of the displays are user-programmable and allow drivers to access and review stored data.
The default system I/O includes line-out, mic-in, J1708, RS-232, RS-485, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, and isolated DI/DO ports located at the rear of the device for convenient access and easy maintenance. The CVBS-in port supports real-time rear-view monitoring, increasing vehicle safety and reducing company liability by eliminating driver blind spots. TREK-570 can also be made IP54 compliant with the inclusion of an optional I/O cover. Finally, TREK-570 features the RJ45 LAN port locking mechanism, which is more economical than the M12 solution and is compatible with standard LAN cables.
The intelligent vehicle management controller provides diagnostics and event log counters, vehicle power monitoring and protection, programmable power functionality (ignition on/off, delay on/off, and low battery monitor), customized wakeup events (wake-on-call, G-sensor, RTC alarm, and DI), remote firmware updates. This enables fleet managers to conduct remote management and easily customize unique parameters to ensure that the entire system can withstand critical vehicle environments and challenging user scenarios. To facilitate software customization, TREK-570 is also equipped with Advantech’s MRM SDK (Mobile Resource Management Software Development Kit) which is a software API layer that provides programmatic access to all hardware interfaces and internal modules such as the power management, enable/disable, digital I/O control, brightness control, and hotkey function modules. Using MRM SDK and sample codes, applications can be configured to respond to specific event triggers, thus optimizing and automating operations for increased productivity and efficiency. Furthermore, Advantech’s MRM SDK supports the voice recognition VOAC software engine for implementing touchless, voice-controlled operation to further enhance vehicle safety.
