6-in. Flat Head Angle Grinders

March 2, 2016

Series of new 6” flat-head angle grinders features a patented gear drive that allows for an extremely low profile head, enabling the tool to fit into angles as low as 39" and into narrow spaces as low as 2-5/8”.

These grinders are available in three versions: one with a side locking switch (WEF15-150), a non-locking paddle switch version (WEPF15-150), and due to increasing user demands for safer tools, a version with non-locking paddle switch and mechanical brake (WEPFB15-150) that stops the grinding accessory in under 2 sec.

The motors of the new 6” Flat Head angle grinders have an increased power rating of 13.5 amp (1,550 w) and are based on the all-new small angle grinder platform released by Metabo earlier this year.  Producing up to 50% more torque, 20% more output power, and up to 20% higher overload capacity, this new design allows for the development of higher power while meeting user demands for physically smaller tools.

  • Powerful flat-head angle grinder for working quickly in particularly acute angles down to 39°
  • Particularly developed for the removal of weld slag, rust or paint in narrow frame constructions and for working in tight spaces
  • Maximum cutting depth by means of a disc 150mm in diameter
  • New, patent-pending Metabo Long-life motor with up to 50% more torque and up to 20% higher overload capacity for quicker material removal and longer service life
  • Tacho-Constamatic (TC)-Full Wave Electronics: fast work progress by means of constant speed under load
  • Metabo Quick for tool-free disc change by means of a quick-locking nut
  • Tool-free adjustable guard; twist-proof
  • Metabo VibraTech (MVT) side handle for vibration damping to protect the user's health
  • Electronic safety shutdown of the motor  reduces kickback if the disc jams
  • Electronic overload protection, soft start and restart protection
  • Gear housing can be mounted turned in 90° steps for left-handed operation or cutting
  • Auto-stop carbon brushes to protect the motor
