An IP69K, Ecolab food graded WTF/WTHF Enclosure allows light curtains and light grids to be used in harsh working environments with exposure to water and steam.
The enclosures are constructed of PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) and are completely transparent. They come with POM-C sealing caps and have an anti-condensation system that uses integrated Gore valves that drain off any humidity. With the inert (non-toxic) components, no residuals are left when the light curtains are washed down or when they come directly in contact with food. This makes the enclosures ideal for the food & beverage industry where frequent washdown procedures are required.
These compact enclosures are only 2.2 in. (56 mm) in diameter and withstand up to 80bar of water jet pressure at a temperature of 176°F (80°C). The WTHF (heated) version has a thermostatically-controlled heating system and can work down to -13°F (-25° C).
