June 15, 2016
Matsuura Machinery USA, Inc. recently revealed the company’s exhibition plans at the International Manufacturing Technology Show in Chicago’s McCormick Place September 12-17, 2016. Matsuura Machinery USA will be located in the South Hall, Booth S-8148, in McCormick Place. The 5,000 sq. ft. booth will showcase how Matsuura’s automation solutions and new technologies provide a competitive advantage. The company will showcase six machines at IMTS 2016. Matsuura will exhibit the H.Plus-400 Horizontal Machining Center, the LX-160 High Speed Linear Motor Machine, the MX-850 5-Axis Vertical Machining Center, the MAM72-35V5-Axis Vertical Machining Center and the V.Plus-550 Vertical Machining Center. Matsuura also announced their plans to unveil a sixth machine in July. This machine will be new to the US market. The Matsuura H.Plus horizontal machining centers are highly productive machine tools with high speed, high rigidity and high precision. The H.Plus series delivers long periods of reliable, unmanned operation, high accuracy and exceptionally efficient production. Since the series’ debut in 2000, over 1,650 Matsuura H.Plus machining centers have been installed worldwide in various industries, including: aircraft, automobile and medical. The H.Plus-400 is equipped with a #40 taper spindle, 15.74 in X 15.74 in pallet and standard 15,000 RPM spindle. An optional 20,000 RPM spindle is available. A high-speed direct drive rotary table is an option on the H.Plus-400. This rotary table attains a maximum feed rate of 100 revolutions per minute. Indexing time of the 4th axis can be reduced 40% using Matsuura’s unique Dynamic Clamp System, along with, the new Automatic Acceleration and Deceleration Control. The LX-160 High Grade Vertical Linear Motor Machine is equipped with fast and accurate linear motors in all axes for machining with high-speed and high-precision. The Matsuura LX-160 is ideal for the medical and aerospace industries with exceptionally fast cutting and micro tools up to 46,000 RPM. The LX-160’s five-axis design is not a three-axis machine with a "bolt on" 4th and 5th axis but a purposely designed true 5 axis machine. The LX-160 is designed for the high-speed, high-accuracy market, with a focus on small work piece processing and unmanned operation with the available pallet changer options. The Matsuura MX-850 Vertical Machining Center offers a variety of configurations and is ideal for all applications, all industries and all materials, appealing to every corner of the manufacturing industry. Incorporating decades of Matsuura expertise in premium machining center design and technology, the Matsuura MAM72-35V features high-accuracy complex five-axis machining with one-chucking to meet the need for cost-effective unmanned operation. The Matsuura V.Plus-550(N) will feature a Table Work Surface of 33.85” by 15.74” and a Table Loading Capacity of 880 lbs. In addition, the Maxia Spindle Speed Range of the V.Plus-550(N) is 50-15,000 min -1 and includes the S% Direct Drive System. Standard Tool Storage Capacity is 30 tools. The V.Tech-550(N) will include the G-Tech 30i NC System as standard
