Nook Industries Introduces NRS Planetary Roller Screw Assemblies

Nook NRS Planetary Roller Screws Provide Precise Linear Motion For Demanding Applications

Cleveland, OH – September 1, 2004 – Nook Industries, a leading manufacturer of linear motion control systems and components, announces the availability of NRS Planetary Roller Screw Assemblies for the most demanding and precise linear motion applications.

The introduction of Nook roller screw assemblies leverages Nook engineering expertise with a device that offers multiple advantages and reliability when compared with other lead screw assemblies. NRS Roller screw high efficiency and shallow lead designs provide very high axial resolution (small axial movement) with a multitude of contact points for carrying large loads. NRS Roller Screws provide high rotational speeds with faster acceleration without adverse effects.

NRS assemblies feature nuts with threaded rollers instead of bearing balls as rolling elements. Nuts are available with an integral flange or as a cylindrical nut in a split preloaded or one-piece solid non-preloaded design. Custom travel lengths and accessories, including precision end machining, locknuts and EZZE-MOUNT bearing support blocks are available.
