EMX’s new sensor comes with standard features that are not provided standard in the industry. Unlike many other sensors, the ColorMax has full application software with control over the target illumination and the ability to view color without reflection.
EMX Industries Inc., a manufacturer of sensors for automation, announces the CNTX contrast sensor, the highest resolution white LED contrast sensor on the market. The new sensor boasts the industry's highest resolution, and it is the only sensor able to reliably detect up to 50 gray-scale levels.
The UVX-300-GC luminescence sensor is the first UV (ultraviolet light) sensor with a calibration function. Calibration is made possible through the use of proprietary software algorithms. The UVX-300-GC is the only UV luminescence sensor on the market with the computing power to run these complex algorithms.
Cleveland, April 17, 2006 – EMX Industries Inc., a manufacturer of sensors for industrial automation, announced the UVX-300G-REM, the first remote UV (ultraviolet light) luminescence sensor that combines small size with long range, high resolution, and ease of use in demanding applications. The UVX-300G-REM has a remote sensing head that is easily mounted and measures just 0.7x0.8x1.2 inches, a volume of less than 0.7 cubic inches – 87% smaller than previously available UV sensors of this type.

Photoelectrics: The Key to Successful Automation Control
|
| As the demand for products in the world-market continues to push production, the requirements for high-speed automated processes capable of providing these products and components at lower cost and higher quality continues to increase. Since subjective, visual inspection techniques are clearly not conducive to high- speed inspection and control requirements, sensors have stepped in to fill this need.
